This week's lead article in the Los Angeles Time Home and Garden Section examines the changing face of the antiques market as more and more stores move online and their customers become more adventurous, no longer content to surround themselves with a look from past but using antiques to set off contemporary pieces. Other articles include the legal risks of including animal artifacts in your home decor; a photo essay spotlighting the carnivorous plants of the greenhouse at Cal State Fullerton; The Scout finds inspiration from Spa Luce at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel; and, there's an in-depth look at a Coldwater Canyon Guesthouse, including a slideshow. More after the jump...

I really like the inside and some of the green features of the guesthouse. The striped exterior does not win me over but the rest of the house is magnificent.

Great article on carnivorous plants. I love me some Australian pitcher plants.
